Our 2016 annual Event Camp is just around the corner – scheduled for March 26-27 at Oakmont Equestrian Center in NW Ocala.  Since entries are limited to 20 riders, we have an Opening Date of Monday, March 7th to postmark your entry (Entry Form).  Anything received beforehand will be put at the bottom of the list, but because of the camp’s popularity, I would suggest that you mark your calendars and have your entry postmarked on March 7th.  If we are oversubscribed, there will have to be a drawing (just as oversubscribed horse trials do), but current FHTA members will have first priority.  You can send it regular postal mail – sometimes Fedex letters do not get delivered in a timely manner where I live (especially if they require a signature, because I’m rarely home when they come), so entries are eligible as long as they are postmarked March 7th and not about how quickly I receive them!

In addition to the $150 camp fee, there will also be a $15 charge for bedding which will be provided by Oakmont (they prefer to use their own supply rather than folks bringing in their own bagged shavings).  Camper hookups are also available at $35 if needed.  There will be no turnout available, as the paddocks are recuperating from the winter boarders at Oakmont.  Please include a separate check for $25 stall cleaning deposit, which will be returned or destroyed once your stall is stripped on Sunday afternoon.

Our camp instructors are Chris Cox, who will again teach the Green Beans, Hilda Hick Donahue will be coaching cross-country, Lindsay Oaks Ocala will be instructing in dressage, and Christa Gandolfo from Oakmont will be teaching the stadium jumping.  We look forward to another successful camp this year and hope we can accommodate everyone who would like to come.

Remember, opening day is Monday, March 7th, so mark your calendars.  If you go to our website (www.floridahorsetrialsassn.com)  there will be a link which will show you pictures taken at Oakmont Equestrian Center as well as the camp entry form.  I am attaching entry forms with this email in both Word and pdf file, in case you can’t open one of them on your computer.
