Susan Neubauer Memorial Award

This is a perpetual trophy in Susan’s memory given every year to one of our members based on sportsmanship, competition, promoting FHTA to the public and working behind the scenes. Susan’s husband Duane has moved to California to start his new life but we want to continue giving this trophy in her honor.

For those of you who didn’t know Susan, she was always an ardent supporter of FHTA from the very beginning in 2003. After her death from a riding-related accident a few years ago, Duane wanted us to keep her in our thoughts. So, with that in mind, this prestigious award goes to someone who carries on that will, going above and beyond just “being a member” of FHTA.

This year's winner of the annual Susan Neubauer Memorial Award was presented to Amanda Lowe of High Springs, Fl. Amanda serves on the FHTA Board of Directors and has been instrumental in helping with our annual event camps, maintaining our full calendar of sanctioned events, and helps organize our annual awards luncheon each year. This year she made the ribbon racks for our Stadium Title Awards that we awarded to our year-end winners. She does all this in her cheerful manner and with a good sense of humor. We appreciate all she does for FHTA -- especially with the computer work, answering questions and straightening out messes! (and she bakes some scrumptious goodies!!) We felt she should be recognized for all she has done for FHTA this year. Thank you Amanda!
